May 6, 2021
Coastside Gives is an annual day of local giving that supports many non profits organizations on the Coastside, including Kings Mountain Associated Parents and Kings Mountain Elementary School. Coastside Gives is a great opportunity to have your donation multiplied by donations from local businesses and community partners, with matching funds, prize awards, and social media contents.
Power Hour: 1:00 pm – 1:59 pm May 6th
New Long Distance Prize Challenge:
$500 Prize for the Long Distance Challenge.
If KMAP gets a donation of just $10 (or more) from the furthest distanced donor we could win $500! Please reach out to your farthest friends and family and ask them to donate to KMAP via Coastside Gives (use the link below) before midnight on May 6th. In order to win this challenge, they will be looking at the billing address associated with the donation. Calling all supporters in Madagascar, Japan, India or anywhere else on the globe! Small donations can add up to make big impacts and help us restore beloved enrichment programming like Music, Culinary Arts, Science & more.
KMAP Donation Drawing:
Anyone who donates a minimum of $15 via Coastside Gives this year, will be entered into a drawing for a $50 gift card to either Sam’s Chowder House or Alice’s Restaurant. We will announce the winners on Friday May 7th.
An Unprecedented Time:
This year Coastside Gives is a critical opportunity to help us recoup funds lost by having to indefinitely postpone our typical fundraisers (KMAF Cookie Sales, Mountain House Social, Fund Run). In a typical year KMAP funds support the on campus programs such as classroom aids, a classroom teacher, interactive science for all grades, music classes, culinary arts programing, and much more. This year the funds from Coastside Gives will help us PRESERVE & RESTORE these essential enrichment programs to our students as soon as it is safe to do so. COVID has impacted our ability to fundraise but not our dedication or enthusiasm! We always say “It Takes A Mountain” and even small donations can add up to make big impacts! Your support is much appreciated.
We understand that circumstances have changed and may have become challenging for families over the last year. We are asking that you take the view of Coastside Gives being a replacement for our lost events. Small donations of $10 or $15 are greatly appreciated and can add up to make a big impact! It is our hope that donors who are in a position to be generous will be, not just with us but with any of the CUSD PTO’s as we are all trying to recoup funds from cancelled events.
